Description: All images taken in April 1981 showing various groups welcoming, or protesting against, the tour by Prince Charles to the Waitangirua Mall in Porirua, and to open the new buildings of the Royal New Zealand Police college. Frames 1 to 7 show a large crowd of Māori protesters swaiting the arrival of Prince Charles in the Waitangirua area of Porirua. Frames 8 to 12 show different groups, mostly women and children awaiting his arrrival behind barricades, with some of the children holding Union Jacks.
