Auckland firm of exporters and owners of a shipping line. Expanded their operations into the Pacific and operated trading stations and coconut plantations. Became associated with the phosphate firm, Pacific Islands Company Ltd. Their Pacific island interests were bought out by Burns Philp in the 1900s.
