Hector, Charles Monro (Dr), 1871-1935

Medical practitioner and pathologist. Son of Sir James Hector. Studied at Otago and Edinburgh universities; lectured on bacteriology, University of Sheffield; President of Wellington Philosophical Society 1914; examiner in physiology and pathology, University of New Zealand from 1920. Corresponded with A C Gifford from Dunedin and Wellington in 1920s. Died in 1935 aged 63 years [Source: Online historical BDM]
