Description: Poster advertising a circus and rodeo contains an arrangement of text, and seven photographs of circus performing: Australia's leading rope spinner and whip cracker, Smoky the trick pony, Pearl Lennon the sensational trapeze artist, Roman rings artists, Phillip Lennon aged 5 (the youngest cowboy in the world) Also lists the names of outlaw horses to be ridden: Red Devil, Grey Echo, Ginger Meggs, Firefly, Blue Blazes, Pitch & Toss, Comet, Black Diamond, Bambi the bucking mule, Tomato the Donkey. Prizes were offered to local riders who could stay 30 seconds on Red Devil, or to any boy who rides Bambi. Dated around 1920s because of hair style of M. Sell. The location may also be Raetihi or Kakahi; see notes below. There is a location called Ratahi near Ohakea in the South Rangitikei area. It is also possible that the location is Raetihi. A note on the backing board indicates that this drawing was from Peter McIntyre's book "Kakariki". This may refer to the book "Kakahi" (1972), but this image was not found in that book.
