Description: All frames were taken at a fair, probably an A&P show at Upper Hutt, in the fairground area, possibly at Trentham memorial Park. [Location from an advertisement for Tom Croft Motors (of Fergusson Drive, in Ans Westra images in sheet AW-1419.)] Young and older people, many of them Māori, with advertisements and ticket boxes for various amusements seen in the background. A woman is standing in the shade of a tree wearing singlasses and a wide white straw hat (frame 6); two young men are watching proceedings in frames 3 to 5; a large group of men, women and children are sitting on top of oil drums piled on the back of a truck, giving height to view the activities (frame 7).
