Solino, Louis, 1941-2022

Dancer and choreographer. Born in Philadelphia, United States. Studied at the Martha Graham School in New York. Performed with the Jose Limón Dance Company for 17 years.

Circa 1985 Solino moved to New Zealand. He performed reguarly with his llife partner New Zealand dancer and choreographer Paul Jenden. Active in the Wellington dance scene from the 1980s, he was the Permanent Modern Tutor at the New Zealand School of Dance 1987-1998. After Jenden's death he moved back to the United States in 2014.
