The view features an ornamental canal in brick paving terminating in a brick wall with a central arched feature. Mixed bedding on each side of the brick paving. Photographed by Denis Friar in about 1995. This private garden featured in "New Zealand Gardens Open to Visit" produced by Jillian and Denis Friar from 1994 to 1998. It also featured in the Friar's book, "Private Gardens of New Zealand; South Island" published by Hodder Moa Beckett, Auckland, in 1995. In the 1990s it was owned by Susan and Richard MacFarlane.
