Description: There are three scenes in the cartoon. In the top right a man and his wife are looking at a butchers shop window where turkeys and hams are displayed. The wife is telling her husband that a ham is a necessity at Christmas. In the lower left they are looking in the window of a gift shop. The man is looking grumpy about having to spend more of his pay packet while his wife exclaims how wonderful it is to be able to shop on Saturday mornings. In the lower right the man, loaded down carrying shopping parcels, and his wife are walking past the paper boy selling "The Evening Post". The man says it's "too late", implying that he has spent all his money. Extended Title - The wage earner now having problems in buying mere essentials - and facing increased pressure on the weekly pay packet - will greet the news with a cry of some sort Quantity: 1 original cartoon(s).
