Inside are black and white photographs of male and female models wearing knitwear, cardigans, jumpers, skirts and slacks, and men's trousers; men's and women's and children's socks and sockettes; stockings, boys' clothing. The knitwear examples are named (eg Faith, Hazelm Orchid, Festival, Suburban Jane, Tempest, Candida, Delma, Esther, Snow Queen). Description: Display card, with foldout tab on the verso to enable it to stand up, shows four piles of boxes of Avon hosiery, with their prices ranging from the lowest to the highest price: Sylken Maid, Miss Elegance, Silver Strand, Shado-Free. These prices are displayed on flags held by toy soldiers. At the far left another toy soldier reviews these troops. Each of the boxes of hosiery shows its own graphic design; two are heraldic, one shows a woman in a long dress and the fourth shows the silhouette of a leg in a high-heeled shoe.
