Source of title - Transcribed from item The New Zealand mission was known as the Australasian Mission until 1841, when the parent English Society's work in Australia ceased. Description: The collection provides a comprehensive illustration of the activities of the church during its 106 year history, including registers, minutes, correspondence and reports, agendas, financial records, newspaper cuttings, church newsletters and other publications, photographs, plans and a watercolour sketch. Of note are the records of the various social groups which flourished under the aegis of the church and which provide a sidelight on the social life of early Miramar. Source of title - Supplied by Library The Church was set up in 1906, using private homes or rental accommodation for its services. In 1911 the present day church was built. They are dated Feb 23 1893, Feb 9 1895 and March 4 1895 and are written from Tutu Totara and Marton. The autobiographical sketch outlines the major events in Hadfield's life up to his election as Arch-Bishop of NZ in 1889. Source of title - Supplied title Accompanying material - Accompanied by carbon copies Hadfield arrived in NZ in 1838 and was ordained at Paihia on the 6th January 1839.
