Description: Annea Lockwood discusses impressions of London as a student in 1961, studying with Peter Fricker at the Royal College of Music, involvement with the avant garde in music; marriage to Harvey Matusow and their engineering of musical `events', including the glass concert at the Arts Centre in London which toured the world including Downstage, Wellington. Recalls meeting with: Morton Feldman whose music for piano she had played; Cornelius Cardew and the Scratch Orchestra; John Tilbury and Hugh Davies. Talks about `Tiger Balm' for the Cockpit Theatre in London, shamanistic and trance music, `sound hats' and `sound umbrellas'. Describes `piano burnings'.
