Carr, Ted, 1926-2003

New Zealand composer who studied at Otago University and Victoria University of Wellington before travelling overseas. Further study at the Guildhall School of Music, London; the Conservatorio di Santa Cecilia, Rome; and the Hochschule fur Musik, Munich. Worked with the Suffolk Rural Music School 1960-1972, and the NSW State Conservatorium, Sydney from 1975-1984. Son of Harold Gordon Carr (1896-1956) and Daisy Maud (née Nairn; 1898-1936).
