Worked as motor mechanic in Feilding ca 1930. Served with the Air Force in World War II in the Pacific. Worked at Ohakea Air Force Base, and later with Kakariki Feltex Wools. Son of Frank Matthew Whitmore (d 1918) and Hilda Maude Whitmore (fl 1915-1928). Husband of Eileen Rita (née Ferris; b 1917)
