Business premises of J G Elmsley (storekeeper) are on the left, and T H Chapman (also a storekeeper) on the right, with a coach belonging to Douglas Meredith outside the Kihikihi Town Hall which is just beyond Chapman's store. Two women wearing large hats and full length skirts are standing by the coach. Dated from the fact that Elmsley, Meredith and Chapman all had premises in Kihikihi in 1912 according to Wise's Post Office Directory of that year.
