Description: Contains photographs of men associated with the New Zealand Dairy Board that were published in the 'New Zealand Dairy Exporter' magazine. Photographs mainly taken 1970-1984, by Don & Beatrice Peat Studio, Fenwick, Greig Royle, Lindberg Photography Ltd, Taranaki Newspapers Ltd, and unidentified photographers. Also includes four copy prints of photographs taken earlier, and one colour print from 1998. Most prints have annotations on reverse identifying people depicted, their relationship to the Dairy Board, dates, events and some publication information. From ca 1890-1970, images are portraits of formative or influential Dairy Board members, associates and politicians including Alexander Stuart, Sir William Goodfellow, A H Ward, Sir Andrew Linton, and Douglas Carter. The 1924 image is a group photo of the first Dairy Board. From 1970 onwards, the images have been taken at various Dairy Board regional and national conferences. They depict successive Dairy Board chairmen addressing delegates, conference audiences, and small groups of men posing together or in conversation. Also includes one group portrait of 1971 Dairy Board. Other people depicted include regional ward delegates, Ministers for Agriculture, and members of associate groups including the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company.
