Description: Prime Minister Jim Bolger is described as if he were a bird. Extended Title - Equally at home in wet or dry surroundings. Can move right wing over to join left wing and vice versa. Now found most often in lower North Island but still nests in King Country where it has bred prolifically. Description: Under the caption 'Bellbirds spotted in Waikato bush reserves...News' two bellbirds observe a birdwatcher 'about twenty metres to the left of the large tree'. After being absent from around Hamilton and much of the North Island bellbirds were found in bush reserves around the Hamilton area by Landcare Research technician Neil Fitzgerald who was involved in keeping tabs on bellbird numbers in Hamilton Halo forest areas. The survey showed bellbirds were present in three of the four Halo forests that were visited. Quantity: 1 digital cartoon(s).
