Description: Cartoon shows two oil company executives dressed in patched suits and top hats crying over a price increase. The price of petrol jumped 5c a litre at midnight on 11 February 1980 to keep up with the increasing cost of crude oil. Oil company executives argued that the increase was not enough to cover fuel cost increases and planned to seek another 3c a litre. A drepressed man says over the breakfast table, when politicians start slashing their wrist in large numbers, then he'll cheer up.
