Description: View of Middleton's Hotel at Opunake. Six touring cars with passengers are lined up outside the hotel, with several people on the upstairs verandah. The hotel has the sign E. O'Meara above the upstairs verandah, but the photographer's inscription says it is Connell's hotel. Photograph taken by D. Duncan (photographer at Opunake), between 1910 and 1913. Other - Hotel listed as Middleton's Hotel in Wise's Post Office Directory between 1908 and 1914, with various proprietors. Source of descriptive information - Note on back of File Print reads "Mr W K Connell, proprietor July 1910-March 1913. Info.
