Griffith, Samuel Walker (Sir), 1845-1920

Australian politician and judge. From 1883 to 1893 was Premier of Queensland, from 1893 to 1903 Chief Justice of Queensland, and from 1903 to 1919 Chief Justice of Australia. Opponent of the use of contract Kanaka labour in Queensland.
