Description: Contains cartes de visite of mainly unidentified portraits of Maori men and women, taken by unknown photographers, ca 1880s to 1890s. Two people are identified. One is "Te Waka Nene?" but this is actually Tawhiao, and the other person identified is "Te Miha" who is possibly Kaihau Te Whaiti's sister Nga-ai-kiha Te Miha. Some people are wearing European dress and others are wearing woven Maori kakahu, including korowai (tag cloaks), and potae taua (feathered hats). Quantity: 1 album(s) Album(s).
