Paloona (Ship : 1908-1928)

Steamship of 2771 tons. Built 1899 by Gourlay Bros & Co., Dundee for the Huddart Parker Co., Australia, and launched as Zealandia. Purchased by the Union Steam Ship Co in 1908, and renamed Paloona. Dismantled in 1928, and the hull used by the Otago Harbour Board in harbour improvements. See Ships with New Zealand Associations (Vol 8, p 67)
