Description: Shows two pears and arrangement of text, and Dominion Mark logo at top right. Artist assumed to be Joseph Bruno Moran, on the basis of style; see similar work for the Dominion Mark Company in the Moran Collection. The Dominion Mark label was in use 1931-1935, launched in December 1931 (See New Zealand Herald, 5 December 1931, page 13), However it had been introduced by marketers, and became very unpopular with growers to whom it was a financial burden (See criticism in North Canterbury Gazette, 6 September 1935, page 5).
