Some slides have captions written on paper affixed to the glass, that describe the subject. Pests and diseases shown include scale (on rose and lemon twigs), mealy bugs, [Eelworm?] on tomato roots, [Hule?] disease in bulbs, red mite damage on leaves, common potato scab and rust spots, potato blight, turnip soft rot, turnip growth cracks, turnip brown heart, tomato leaf mould, and a series showing the effect of potassium permanganate on tomatoes.
