Bidwell, William Edward, 1858-1933

Of Rototowai, Wairarapa. Son of Charles Robert Bidwill (1820-1884) and Catherine Bidwill (née Orbell; 1826-1894); brother of John Orbell Bidwill (fl 1884-1919), and Charles Robert Bidwill (d 1902). In 1894 he married Edith Mildred Rhodes. See Cyclopedia of New Zealand (Vol 1, Wellington, p865-866)

Description: Cadastral map of land owned by the Bidwills, next to Lake Wairarapa. The land is coloured-coded as per the reference key, with J O Bidwill (green), W E Bidwill (red) and C R Bidwill (blue). Each land block gives acreage. One block is cited as Trustees of the late C R Bidwill, Mrs Bidwill, and one as C Jury, T Kennedy (occupier). Neighbouring land blocks are owned by, on the northern border: Native land - James Donald, F Goodrick, Mrs Bicknell, J Bicknell, W Bicknell, Williams Brothers, C R Fenwick, Joseph & Phillips, C Knapp, C Phillips, P McNeill (occupier), Mallery.
