The land is coloured-coded as per the reference key, with J O Bidwill (green), W E Bidwill (red) and C R Bidwill (blue). Each land block gives acreage. One block is cited as Trustees of the late C R Bidwill, Mrs Bidwill, and one as C Jury, T Kennedy (occupier). Neighbouring land blocks are owned by, on the northern border: Native land - James Donald, F Goodrick, Mrs Bicknell, J Bicknell, W Bicknell, Williams Brothers, C R Fenwick, Joseph & Phillips, C Knapp, C Phillips, P McNeill (occupier), Mallery. Note on neg box `I & W E Bidwells, Featherston' Pihautea was a large station in the Featherston area, and employed many men in shearing season. It has associations with the Bidwell family.
