Description: These letters were written by Anderson while he was serving in the R.N.Z.N.V.R. Some years ago he set out to record extracts from the letters and as he did this destroyed the original letters. This folder contains the extracts and precis of those destroyed letters and the beginning of the sequence of undestroyed letters. Written mainly to his family the letters cover the period 1942 and 1943. These letters were used by Anderson to form the basis of his memoirs which are held at Accession 91-301.
