Cartoonist, born in Christchurch. He began work with a signwriting agency, then switched to J Inglis Wright, the Auckland advertising company. Editorial cartoonist for Auckland Star 1952-1972, and illustrated the "Over the teacups" column of the "NZ Woman's weekly" until about 1975. Lived on the North Shore, Auckland until 1988 when he moved to Henderson with his wife, Patricia O. Lonsdale. Retired by 1975. (No middle name given in Electoral rolls)

Also two cuttings from newspapers of cartoons by Lodge (3 April 1972 Evening Post) and Deighton (Auckland Star 18 July 1972). Quantity: 236 original cartoon(s) on paper. Physical Description: Ink on paper, sizes varying. Provenance: Purchased from Mrs Gillian Simpson (daughter of Sir Thomas Skinner), Auckland, September 2016. Skinner collected them from the various cartoonists and they passed to his daughter upon his death.
