Recto shows the cover panel with a seated blonde woman with a drink at a small table, and a photograph of dancers in the Chateau's ballroom. Description: A set of five postcards featuring Maori scenes: P 10. Pohutu Geyser, Rotorua, N.Z. P 11. Maori woman & child, Rotorua, N.Z. P 13. Maoris, Whakarewarewa, Rotorua, N.Z. P 28. Maori storehouse, Rotorua, N.Z. P 54. Maoris cooking food in steam, Rotorua, N.Z. Title on accompanying slip of paper 52 x 76 mm. (retained with cards) The set was packaged in clear plastic for sale in the 1960s. The packaging was removed upon arrival into the Library, in order to ascertain the content, and to preserve the cards in perpetuity. Date of publication estimated from the donor's account of a visit to Rotorua. The price of the cards was in sterling currency and therefore dates from 1967 or earlier.
