Description

Cartoon depicting the moment immediately following the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. Two groups are walking away from the signing table - one a group of Māori and the other a group of European settlers. One of the settlers comments, "Well done, Hobson, with a bit of luck we'll never hear about fishing rights or land claims ever again".
