Title translates as: First journey in the field of geography; an entertaining and educational game for the young, by which means a lasting foundation in geography may be acquired.

Game consisting of 52 cards, with copper engravings; 16 of them maps, and 36 hand-coloured illustrations. Each card has six questions on the verso. The maps are of the solar system and various parts of the world, and the illustrations show scenes in Europe, Egypt, Palestine, China, the South Pacific, and the Caribbean.

The game set includes an instruction and answer booklet, describing how the game is to be played. The quizmaster shuffles the cards, and asks each player to pick a card at random. The player studies the six questions on the back of the card, relating to the history and characteristics of the region illustrated on the front. The player then hands the card back to the master, who chooses one of the questions to ask the player. According to a description in the booklet, one mode of play involved players giving an incorrect answer contributing a small-denomination coin to a fund on the table.
