Description

Photographic prints relating to World War One and World War Two, mostly by unknown photographers, but named photographers include the Evening Post, W H Bartlett, and Gaze and Company of Hamilton. Many of the prints include annotations on the back, and some are in postcard format. Named places include Woolwich, Durban, Sling Camp, Killarney. The images relating to World War Two were taken in 1942 by the 'Evening Post', and include soldiers in a gun pit at a golf links (at an unnamed location). Many of the images feature Tompkins.
