Description: Postcard shows a reproduction of a painting of the two-funnelled steamship the SS 'Mooltan' in mid-ocean. The verso shows the crest and motto of the Peninsular and Oriental Steam Navigation Company, "Quis separabit" (Who will separate us?) The address and message on the verso is handwritten, to Miss Selina Henderson, 26 Woodhouse St, S Invercargill New Zealand, and is dated from on board the "Mooltan" in the Mediterranean on 24th October. The message is: "Many happy returns! Thinking of you today while in mid ocean. Just been through a terrific thunder storm & very rough sea!! We have 600 passengers on board - splendid ship - very steady. Looking forward to seeing you all again before Xmas. My love, M T Crofts" Quantity: 1 colour photo-mechanical print(s).
