- Description
All images taken at Te Tii Waitangi Marae. Paddlers are seen entering the waka taua Ngātokimatawhaorua and then the waka is seen out at sea (frames 1 to 4). Groups of spectators are viewing the celebrations from the beach (frames 5 to 7); a long queue of people are being greeted outside the wharenui (frame 8), and young women in traditional costume are part of the line of people queuing and greeting outside (frames 9 to 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
