- Description
All frames show people being served food, and eating from platters possibly at a poukai (Kīngitanga ceremony) at Tūrangawaewae (Identified from previous images at AW-1998 showing part of the wharenui). They show a young woman handing plates of food to be taken to the dining are (frames 1 & 2); and women and children eating from the platters (frames 3 & 4, and 6 to 9). Two small boys ae wearing headgear and jackets with the insignia "W K C" and "Whakatu Karate Club" (frames 3 & 4). A young woman netball player is holding her boots and sports gear while leaning against an ambulance (frames 10 & 11); and a young woman is helping her toddler to walk (frame 12). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
