- Description
All scenes were taken in the area near the Lower Hutt Horticultural Hall and Dowse Art Gallery in 1979. Images include close-up views of two women and two men (woman on the left wearing a name tag, while the man on the right wearing sunglasses has been identified as Ruka Broughton) seen in frames 1 to 3; a large group in the background (frames 4, 11 & 12); a kuia with moko, wearing a striped shirt (frame 6); another kuia with moko, wearing a tipare (headband) and a hei tiki (frame 11); and a young man giving his daughter a piggyback (frames 9 & 10). Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
