- Description
Frames 1 to 7 show a group of three young Māori women and a Māori man inside a railway coach on the way back from Trentham to Wellington Railway Station. A group of five are seen outside the station in frames 8 9. They are sitting under a sign which reads "Picton Ferries. Buses at main front entrance." The next 3 views were taken in Newtown. A motor bike is parked outside the "Relief Centre" (frame 10); a woman is peering into the engine under the raised bonnet of a Humber car (frame 11); and a Māori man is leaning against the car, across the road from the Newtown Public Library (frame 12.) Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
