All frames show members attending a conference, held at Victoria University of Wellington, relating to the question of reforming New Zealand secondary education. Links between the Education Department and the Committee on Women. The Director General of Education (William Renwick) is seen giving a presentation in frames 4 and 5, and chatting to delegates (frames 8 to 12.) Miriam Dell (of the Committee of Women, the National Council of Women and the International Council of Women) is seen speaking to the conference (frame 6), seen in the background (frames 4 and 5), and with Bill Renwick and an unidentified woman (frames 7 and 8.) Unless otherwise stated, all persons are unidentified. Photographs taken by Ans Westra.
