- Description
The title page of Hutton's sketchbook. Predominantly painted red and blue, it features Maori decorative motifs, Maori with facial moko and New Zealand trees. The central sketch shows two Maori wearing cloaks, outside a whare; one is sitting, the other standing and holding a taiaha. The script is in a Blackletter style.
