Description

The second folder of two from papers originally in a file box labelled 'Rosina Buckman (3) also D'Argel'.

Includes a manilla folder labelled 'Brian Pearcy' that contains correspondence with Brian Pearcy and Emma Hopkins (from UCOL in Palmerston North) about Rosina Buckman, a manilla folder labelled 'Buckman CD' that contains agendas and minutes of meetings for the 'historic recordings project' (which appear to have been collated by Brian Salkeld), a manilla folder labelled 'Buckman/d'Argel record holdings', copies of correspondence with Roger Flury (Alexander Turnbull Library) and other libraries regarding holdings of Rosina Buckman and Nora d'Argel material, lists of library holdings, and an envelope labelled 'Discographies Rosina Buckman and Maurice d'Oisly'.

Note that the 'historic recordings project' resulted in the 'Treasures in Sound' collaboration between the National Library/Alexander Turnbull Library and various recording companies to produce CDs of vulnerable archival sound material. The 'Madam Butterfly' recording featuring Rosina Buckman was one of the first CDs to be produced for this programme.
