Description

An annotated 'Souvenir of Cairo' tourist booklet published by the Cairo PostCard Trust and sent by William James Hamilton to his parents, while he was based at Zeitoun camp, Egypt, in World War I. Contains 32 black and white photographic prints of Cairo city and environs.

The annotation in pencil on the backpage of the booklet, consists of one short letter dated Thursday 11 Nov 1915 written by "Will" to his "dear parents".

The booklet contains one loose page containing a short letter written in pencil by "Will" to "My Dear Ruby" and dated Friday 12 November 1915, at Zeitoun. The page was placed at the back of the booklet, and appears to be from another copy of a tourist booklet which was sent to "Ruby".
