"From November 1947 to February 1955 Murdo MacDonald-Bayne mailed out to the general public, not only in South Africa but worldwide, the monthly newsletters known under the title "Sanctuary of the silent healing power". These newsletters comprised a summary of readers letters, an essay, a benediction, thanks for donations, a list of books for sale and later, details of his weekly lectures given in Johannesburg and Pretoria. A great number of these essays (mostly from February 1950) were a compendium or 'Reader's digest' version of the lecture notes as given out to Murdo's selected students in South Africa"--Publisher's preface.
