Jim comments to The Politician that, before rushing them through Parliament, "We should find out that the people have to say about these new security laws." The Politician replies that there is no need. Once "We're able to start tapping their phones we'll know exactly what they're saying!".
Refers to the strengthened security and surveillance laws to be passed by Parliament following security agencies' warnings of a domestic terror threat. On 4 November 2013 the Prime Minister confirmed that he wanted the laws passed before the Cricket World Cup began in February 2015.
