Description

Programme for an event held in Wellington Town Hall on 29 June 1915, when Kitty Doughty was crowned queen of a patriotic carnival. The crowning ceremony included an entrance procession, a song by Mina Caldow, the crowning by Mr H G Hill, a recitation by Hamilton Hodges; and participation by Mrs James Hannah, Mr R Leslie Jones, Mr Sydney Allright, Miss Glady Watkins, Mr Ch W Kerry, Mr Bernard F Page, Mr W J Meredith, Professor Owen Cardston. The words of the patriotic song "The soldier" are on the verso and dedicated by permission to Major-General Sir Alex Godly, KCMG, Commander of the NZEF.

The recto has a border of art nouveau design.
