Album compiled by Joe Mattner in 2001 for Michael King. The photographs all relate to the stone house built by German missionary, Johannes Gottfried Engst, below Maunganui basalt outcrop on Chatham Island. Most are exterior views that include details showing the exterior condition of the structure. There is one interior view of the cellar and the ladder giving access to and from it. There are also views of the house and the surrounding countryside.
