Description

The newly elected mayor of Christchurch, Lianne Dalziel, as a raw recruit runs through explosions, dodging flak. The trainers from their observation tower list further items in the 'boot camp' training: 'backstabbing prevention, CEO salary protection and how to disguise overseas junkets!'

Lianne Dalziel, after being elected mayor of Christchurch in October 2013, would find many of the difficulties face by her predecessor, Bob Parker. These included difficulties with fellow councillors, being accused of overseas travel on rate payers' funds, defending large salaries of Council officials, such as Tony Marrayatt and other 'flak' from resulting from administering an earthquake-wrecked city
