Description

A half-length portrait of Captain McCrae, painted by his sister-in-law Georgiana Huntly McCrae, who was married to Alexander's brother Andrew. He wears a scarlet coatee with full dress epaulettes. He is shown as a relatively young man, being about 32 when the portrait was taken
