- Description
Depicts Energy Minister Simon Bridges saying he is not a liar although he is bending over showing his trousers are on fire. Onlookers refer to billboards never lying. Refers to Greenpeace New Zealand putting up a billboard in Wellington pointing out Bridges had misled Parliament over a meeting he had with oil company Shell two weeks before he made amendments to the controversial Crown Minerals Bill (see NZ Herald 17 July 2013). Accompanying note from cartoonist states 'Greenpeace has gone to the wall - but not in the way Simon Bridges would like. Refers to the Greenpeace billboard on a Wellington wall that implies Minister Simon Bridges has misled parliament over his dealings with the oil industry'.
