Description

Folder comprises three original photographs printed out on paper as postcards. A contrast photograph of ANZAC Cove, Gallipoli, taken by Sgr J Hemingway. Dowling writes on the back of the photograph of his landing at ANZAC Cove on 28 Apr 1915. The three crosses on the photograph mark his landing spot, and two dressing stations for wounded soldiers. The second photograph is a full length portrait shot of Dowling in his military uniform. The third photograph is a head portrait of Dowling aged 22 yrs. Includes the inscription "Yours very sincerely, `Dick', Dublin, April 1916."
