Commentary from the artist: 'Facial recognition technology will not identify the real risk to New Zealand's precious resources. My cartoon depicts two security staff watching CCTV footage of John Key's face.'
In late June 2013, it was announced that SkyCity casino would bring in facial recognition technology in order to identify banned gamblers out of a crowd. This initiative was part of a concession deal between Auckland mayor Len Brown and the casino. Many considered that the Pime Minister, John Key, was gambling with New Zealand's resources in his asset sales programme.
