Diary kept by Squire while on active service with 23 Battalion during the Italian Campaign in 1945. Also telegram to his father reporting that he had been wounded in action, 26 May 1944 and two undated newspaper cuttings. The first reads `Mr and Mrs E Squire of Rapaura have received word that their son, Ray, hs been wounded in Italy' and a notice that a social and dance was to be held in honour of Trooper Squire and other soldiers.
