Includes transcript of J D Hooker's diary while in New Zealand waters Aug-Nov 1841. Describes in detail the Bay of Islands, residents, and plants. Also transcripts of correspondence, principally on botanical subjects, between Colenso and Sir William Hooker 1840-1846.
